Job Description:

Iza Whiskey and Eats and La Montaña is seeking Front of House Staff enthusiastic about food, wine, beer, cocktails, and most importantly, hospitality. We desire professional, hardworking, self-motivated individuals with excellent customer service able to provide an individualized, exceptional guest experience.

The Host is responsible for delivering an excellent hospitality experience by maintaining the overall flow of the restaurant. They provide a positive and professional first and last impression to every guest. In the event there is a wait time, quote an accurate wait time and answer any questions the guest may have.

Responsibilities:

The primary function of this position is to provide all guests with excellent service. Additional responsibilities for this position include:

• Each host must take pride in personal appearance to uphold Iza's standards.
• Interact courteously with guests (answer phones, greet guests, seat guests, make reservations, take takeout food orders)
• Uphold our high safety and sanitation standards by completing sanitation practices at front door, host stand, and crowd control
• Ensure communication between kitchen, bar, guests and other service team members.
• Learn restaurant seating layout, how tables are divided into server areas, and how to navigate within the restaurant.
• Inform servers when they have a new table (manage server rotation)
• Set and clear a table neatly and efficiently according to Iza specifications
• Conduct side-work as required for each shift
• Handle reservation system (creating new reservations, assigning tables to existing reservations, modifying party sizes, obtaining specific instructions for each reservation such as birthdays, anniversaries/ special occasions, dietary restrictions, preferred seating, etc.)
• Bussing tables, light cleaning, bathroom checks, and silverware rolling
• Assist other team members as needed
• In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your manager

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Ability to execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-work environment.

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
